Canoe Trips
Experience the incredible beauty of the Canadian Shield by canoe, now available through Kitchi Island Outposts. These waterways are among the last pristine, undeveloped river systems in Canada.
Surrounded by the boreal forest and abundant wildlife, paddlers have the opportunity to explore some of Manitoba’s most remote landscapes. Fly-out trips depart from Matheson Island, Manitoba, with routes that may include the Bloodvein River, Pigeon River, Berens River, and Poplar River.
Fly-In, Paddle-Out Trips
Guests are flown into a remote lake or river system and then paddle their way back out, creating a true wilderness canoe experience. For those looking for a bit more comfort, we can also fly you and your canoe into one of the Kitchi Island Outposts.
Along the way you can enjoy fishing, observe wildlife such as moose, bear, and eagles, and spend evenings relaxing while watching the sunset over the northern wilderness.
Bringing Your Own Canoe
At this time, canoes are not provided with our charter services. Guests are welcome to bring their own canoe.
